David Alvarez is a Canadian actor who portrays Bernardo in the 2021 film West Side Story.
General overview[edit | edit source]
Alvarez is one of the three boys originally cast to play Billy in the Broadway production of Billy Elliot the Musical. Alvarez left theater to serve in the US Army, and returned to theater after two a half years of service.
On January 14, 2019, it was announced that Alvarez would be playing the role of Bernardo.[1]
